NWN Corporation and Cisco Systems played an integral part in Thyra M. Humphrey’s Center for Breast Health’s Third Annual “Tell A Friend Mammathon” which reached out to 2393 women in the Central Susquehanna Valley (Pennsylvania).  The event theme this year was “Real Men Wear Pink” and took place in April, 2007.  The Evangelical Community Hospital had dozens of volunteers making phone calls (on Cisco phones!) to spread the important message of mammography the event, encouraging women over the age of 40 to schedule a yearly mammogram.  Over 126 women committed to, or scheduled their mammogram that day! When caught early, breast cancer is highly curable.  Many thanks went out to NWN on lending a hand in this!
